January 16, 2012 18:58:16 FYI School Budget 2012-2013   Insteresting School Tax article in 'TheDailyStar' 1/16/12 Rural School Funds, Tax Cap Face Scrutiny. .... Governor's to release proposed budget Tuesday 1/17/12.
January 15, 2012 08:17:29 what?   The democrats fix= We need to tax more, tax, tax, tax! But they will not stop the spend, spend, spend! Their plan will never work.
January 15, 2012 08:12:04 what?   It's cold, freeezing! That's what govt. needs to do. Freeze the spending. Our homes and local town govt. makes do with what they have. Our state and federal spending just keeps growing. Obama added more National debt in 19 months than ALL the Presidents from Washington to Clinton combined! The debt is now over 15 TRILLION!3.98 billion of debt added per day! The Obama administration is on the same prescription meds as AIG execs. The Congressional Budget Office reports President Obama's budget will rack up massive deficits even after the economy recovers, forcing the nation to borrow $9.3 trillion more over the next decade. We are going on to the forth year of the Obama presidency, In the first two years Obama's failed stimulus cost more than the entire cost of the Iraq War under President Bush, or six years of that war.
January 14, 2012 01:38:05 bertimouse   Hey Denise, U R SO RIGHT! Check this info out: The proposed property tax cap, which was approved by the Legislature is "aimed at reversing the economic decline in many parts of the state outside of NYC. It also seeks to curb soaring property tax bills in areas of upstate New York". Yah right. As outlined by the NYS Republican controlled Assembly, the deal has some exemptions. Among them;contributions that school Districts make into the State Pension System would be Partly Discounted so that Pension Increases of More Than 2 Percent...would not be counted against the 2 Percent Cap. Districts would be able to adjust tax levies IF New Development in their areas increased the tax base. The tax cap can also be overridden with 60 percent of a local school district vote. As outlined by the Assembly, the deal would have some exemptions. Among them, contributions that school districts make into the state pension system would be partly discounted so that pension increases of more than 2 percent from the previous year would not be counted against the 2 percent cap. [i.e. the SCSD BOE is going to hide this figure, yall.] Districts would be able to adjust tax levies if new development in their areas increase the tax base...WE VOTED NOT!
January 13, 2012 10:47:11 Denis Burpoe dburpoe@ yahoo.com Good morning, I just trying ti figure out this 2% cap on school taxes. OK the Governors budget comes out on the 17th of Jan. then the schools figure out what they get in aid then put a budget together to introduce to the tax payers.(Remember I did not say Voters)Now is where I am confused and would like a little input. Then the Board of Education and the Supertendent realizes that 2% will not work and they need 60% of the voters to approve a tax increase of more that 2% that they can present to the voters.Does this mean that if only 100 voters vote and 60 of them agree to a tax increase we can get any increase that they deem neccessary? I think we need to pay attention.
January 13, 2012 08:01:06 Part-Timer   What happened at the Qway?
January 12, 2012 21:38:35 voter   Very quiet in Masonville, was at the Qway yesterday and it is very strange to be so quiet, too bad someone had a bad day and caused so much of a disturbance for so many. Maybe that person should get a life and leave others alone.
January 12, 2012 07:29:16 Grumpy Ernst Keidel CDR.Keidel@gmail.com But you have to admit, the weather IS interesting here! Yesterday we had a beautifully sunny Spring-like day with walk-around-with-your-shirt-off weather and today we have school delays and closings.
January 10, 2012 08:17:09 masonville resident   Is there nothing interesting going on in the town of Masonville anymore? This is the quietest this board has ever been. Other than the weather there must be something good going on. The school board meeting is tonight at 7 p.m. if anyone is interested.
January 06, 2012 21:48:17 bertimouse   ps forgive us - snowman should have been un-capitalized.
January 06, 2012 21:45:12 bertimouse   Here we hear Snowman.
January 06, 2012 15:44:32 snowman   I always get a good laugh from this board keep it up. Don`t give the haters to much power by all responding. Happy New Year Everyone.
January 05, 2012 22:49:14 bertimouse   All of Gods pieces of work have the right to speak here. We bid a Very Happy 2012 New Year - to all of our good neighbors-the big, the loud, the quiet & the small & the proud. Glad tidings of better fortunes for all so that this Message Board can transcend all of these brawls.
January 05, 2012 14:39:03 what?   Inch or two, cold as heck, but it is suppose to warm up by the weekend.
January 05, 2012 07:37:00 Part-Timer   Hi,much snow up there?
January 04, 2012 14:54:26 what?   I use a ?. If I use my real name are you going to copy that too? All the more reason to use alias's. Heck, John Galt even posted on this site.
January 04, 2012 12:19:04 what   duh who
January 04, 2012 11:07:20 Part-Timer   Why cant we all get alone?
January 03, 2012 15:00:12 what?   That, and we don't have to worry about someone showing up at our house and beating us up because of a difference of opinion, or shooting someone like bertimouse threatened me with once. It would be nice if we could be civil even if anonymously. If you don't like someone tell them to their face, anonymously beating someone up is a sign of a coward.
January 03, 2012 11:46:55 duh   It's nice to be a coward, so we can hide. This way we are able to say what we want to and still be nice to a person's face.
January 02, 2012 18:18:21 Frank   John who
January 02, 2012 18:05:17 john   everybody should post there real name here .would solve alot of b.s
January 02, 2012 17:38:30 what?   I was thinking the same. Would be nice if we could be civil, even if only a few days. The holiday spirit just must have not rubbed off on certain people. Happy new year! (hopefully prosperous new year for the country lets try to be optimistic). Happy new year everyone!
January 02, 2012 15:47:52 masonville resident   Now Now, Let's be nice,it is a new year.
January 01, 2012 17:57:18 who?5SZ3Y   Thank god there are no trees to harvest we really be screwed.
January 01, 2012 17:49:50 who?   When Robin Little is the voice of reason in Maaonville this town is screwed
January 01, 2012 09:13:39 Rich   Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2012 brings you all the best.
December 30, 2011 11:53:21 Robin Little   It's nice to see people care about others and watch out for people that are in a situation that isn't always safe. If you don't like the people hanging out at the Quickway, then stay away or don't look at them when you pass by. What if the person working at the store was your family, would you complain then? We never know who could be passing through our town. There has been incidents at the the store in the past; it has been broken into. We are a small town, so we need to take care of each other.
December 29, 2011 05:26:00 crzyflea   Sick of sounds like they can't see the world beyond the tip of their nose. They can take their business elsewhere - and maybe pick up a dictionary while they are at it so that they can learn to spell. Caitlin has it right (and thank you for saying it young lady) - as any young woman who has ever worked at the store can likely tell you, the regulars who hang out at the end of the night make your night enjoyable and put your mind at ease about working in a little store in a town that most consider the middle of nowhere.
December 29, 2011 04:07:51 what?   Don't worry about it Miss Jackson, this person just had to put their two cents in,and add to the gossip in Masonville that they blast,a hypocrite. If this person wants to see some 'freaks' (I'm sure they are all good people also) go to the Walton Country Store, anytime but especially after dark. And that place is usually packed also. I doubt that place or our store sees any drop in costumers because of this.Like the 'Official' website says, Masonville is a town with "very nice people."
December 29, 2011 00:48:45 CAITLYN MARIE JACKSON   Dear sick of matinville ( spelling ) As an employee of the MASONVILLE QUICKWAY or as you call it the convience store I would just like to to inform you, that people that you are refering to as \"freaks\" are in fact paying customers no different then you when you come in. Did you ever think that those people that hang out there at night are there to relax after a hard day of work and just want a cup of coffee or a snack. You \" sick of matinville \" make me sick. Let me throw this one at you - I am an 18 year old girl who is fresh out of high school and just wanted to make some money. I close the store almost every night and when im all done theres one of those \" freak\" as you refered to making sure that I am safe until i get to my car. Personality these people are extreamly freindly, helpful, funny, protective and the most kind hearted people you could ever meet. Not only am i greatfull but so are my parents because these people are making sure that im safe and that no harm happens. So before the next time you bash them sure YOU have YOU\'R FACTS in line.
December 28, 2011 21:28:25 Observer   I am not sure people hang out at the convienence store as protection for the help but for sure it does help to discourage any ideas a person bent on mischief might have.
December 28, 2011 13:42:44 Part-Timer   It was so nice for a while
December 28, 2011 08:11:41 censored   I told you sick right in the gutter. bertimouse can\'1t help herself ,himself right to the gutter.
December 27, 2011 21:04:30 bertimouse   Here HEAR masonville resident! And Dear sick: your name says it all. Why do you think that the TOM needs no extra protection from Police Enforcement, eh? Its because we protect(and yes hang out)to look after the women that work there - DUH. If U dont like it then tell Mr. Mirabito to take his freaking high priced gas elsewhere. Were doing him a favor, sir and he KNOWS IT!
December 27, 2011 14:12:07 masonville resident   sick of this... since you do not care for our town, I hope you can find somewhere else to be. This site is not that bad, except for people like you, so please leave and do not bother to return!!!!
December 27, 2011 14:06:07 censored   Thanks sick of this. Now we are going to have to put up with self serving mayor of masonville bertimouse. This board was actually becoming a tool for the people you just put this board back in the gutter. bertimouse will surly put in back in the gutter.
December 27, 2011 13:42:35 sick of this matinville town. lmao   This site is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Masonville is the most gossipy please I have ever seen. And for all the freaks that hang out at the store have no life. You would think Mirabitos would do something about it,but they aren't that smart ether,it's all about money.I know a lot of people wont go their any more because of it.

December 20, 2011 08:52:37 JOKER   Thanks Rich for changing the air around here,up to now it was only,votes/school boards. every body forgot Chistmas and New Years. Hey have a wonderful New Year you and yours, and for everyone else on this Board I wish the same and may all your wishes come real.
December 20, 2011 08:06:22 Rich   Saturday night, my wife and I sat in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine and watched the snow flurries. We talked about Christmas and the upcoming visit by our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. We may not be rich financially and we had some very hard times. But, as we look back, we are truly blessed. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

December 16, 2011 19:36:33 crzyflea   Dawn, maybe you can help us out, is that north (sidney side) or south(headed towards deposit?) I'm thinking from your description it is south, perhaps that lovely white house on the flat?
December 16, 2011 18:21:02 bertimouse   Dawn, Forgot to mention that oops we don't know where number 15805 is on rte. 8 but Yes some folks online here would probably personally know. We both don't think that the TOM officials would comment here about that because of maybe legal issues. :)
December 16, 2011 18:14:44 bertimouse   Hi Dawn. The real estate firm is your best bet first. Then go to the neighbors or the County Office in Delhi to figure out which town its in - depends where on route 8 it is - could be Deposit or Sidney. If its in the TOM & you cant get to a TOM board mtg. in person, you can email our Town supervisor; Craig Dumond at dumond@masonvilleny.com or call him at(607)369-4338 for more info. GOOD LUCK with the "needs work" part. Figure at least 25 percent More(these days)than what you planned on! :( Hope this helps & Merry Christmas. :)
December 16, 2011 15:18:24 Dawn Gibson Mardon35@msn.com I would like to know about the property at 15805 st hwy 8 .it has been abandoned for quite some time I know and th enote on the door says to call a real estate ..i did but i want to know asap:) better soure would be here with the board. any info?? septic, water source and ancre?? i see the barn in the back.I have eyed this place for years!!i know it needs work which would be 100% fine.as long as most of it is in good shape.Thank you so much.and what high school do the kids go to?

December 15, 2011 20:25:42 bertimouse   voter: hey forgiven. Must have been a Freudian-Slip while thinking about SCSD. :) :) :)
December 15, 2011 20:20:26 bertimouse   Oh Yah the TOMs new space Rocks thanks to 1)Good Leadership 2)Good Input from us 3)Good old fashioned Community Spirit to pitch in 4)Brains to know about how costly improvements can raise local taxes. BRAVO, TOM for Pro Active.
December 15, 2011 13:19:50 TX-1   How about it,anybody with a deer?
December 15, 2011 10:46:12 Conservative Always   Great Job to Supervisor DuMond and the TOM Board for the new town hall!!! its a beautiful building and the residents of Masonville should be proud!! the old building felt like we were having the meeting in the highway garage. Its great for the town to have this morale boost and done within budget at low-cost to the tax payer thanks to Mike S. Great Job Supervisor DuMond and the TOM Board!! a lot of good has come to the town thanks to you and keep up the fight in Delhi..the other towns should model themselves after TOM!
December 15, 2011 08:33:13 voter   sorry for the we we
December 15, 2011 08:22:09 voter   Bertimouse, you are all so right! Been here forever and this is the normal thing to happen. Just remember, if we we need to vote again we can.
December 14, 2011 23:05:10 bertimouse   It warms our hearts to see folks so awake & involved now about how our school taxes & the BOE literally tries to rule over(or is that over rule?)the 800 families with attending children district-wide. :) Statistically speaking, this vote was a Great Turnout! For the latest update about the next BOE Meeting you can call the district office at the High School:607-563-2135x4275 for the Supers office. Looks like the free lunches and dinners at the Executive Sessions may be ending soon, but BEWARE. We can say from experience that these folks know very well the game of trickery in order to get what they want. We'll bet $100 that this aint over yet.
December 14, 2011 18:30:40 masonville resident   does anyone know when the next school board meeting will be held? This should be interesting to attend.
December 13, 2011 19:38:29 what?   SCSD Superintendent William Christensen explains during a presentation on the Capital Project that EXCEL funding is not really a grant, what? Not really? According to the Nuts and Bolts of the EXCEL program on State Budget Info; This EXCEL program provides funding in the form of grants for school facility projects.
December 13, 2011 18:32:01 voter   There are people from all 3 communitees for and against everything we vote on and some are our friends and relatives, that is what makes this America and what makes the vote work.
December 13, 2011 17:21:58 what?   Try not to think of it as a 'war' of Sidney Center and Masonville voters against Sidney. There had to be some Sidney voters who don't like Govt. waste either. We don't need to be against the district, but hold them accountable for the hard working tax payer dollars. A grant IS hard working NY tax payer dollars and should be used wisely. The state is BROKE!
December 13, 2011 15:45:18 masonville resident   Sidney school board meeting cancelled for tonight. Maybe they need to rethink things before continuing their plea.
December 13, 2011 11:31:59 JOKER   Hey Tx 1,I know Willie Nelson, maybe we got something for that song you wrote.
December 13, 2011 08:10:17 voter   SCSD defeated proposition is great news!!! Now we know if Sidney Center and Masonville voters work together withe the help of some Sidney voters we can rule the votes at Sidney school and they cannot hurt us again.
December 13, 2011 07:22:11 TX-1   Observer,I was thinking, maybe if I sent it to Nashville, someone will used it and I will get pay!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!!
December 13, 2011 06:12:33 FYI - SCSD Defeated 294 NO 224 YES   12-13-11 CDO News Voters in the Sidney central school district defeated the building proposition yesterday. The plan called for renovations to the high school auditorium and athletic fields. Preliminary totals were 294 against and 224 in favor of the $4 million dollar plan
December 12, 2011 17:18:51 Observer   TEX-1 That is the saddest story I have ever heard!! I bet if we set it to music and get someone with a twangy voice to sing it it would become a country music hit.
December 12, 2011 06:36:00 TEX-1   Well, another deer season just closed, seen a few does,no Masonville evil Bear,no Coyotes(heard them in the woods),no bucks.lost my time,my money, was cold (this weekend)too hot, rifle fell broke scope, very few hunters in woods, deers arent moving. TGell you it was the worst in years, now am hoping for a fresh road kill, other wise no meat all winter long.
December 11, 2011 20:19:14 voter   Hope everyone can remember to get out to vote at high school tomorrow from 7 am to 9 pm, don't forget.
December 09, 2011 20:06:52 what?   Yes, I know Christmas and Hanukkah are completely different. But Obama plans on celebrating all of them including Kwanza, you know diversity. He just isn't interested in observing the holidays correctly with respect. And to boot he tried to tax fresh cut Christmas trees (no tax on the fake ones from China, only American tree farmers would have seen the tax) until he was compared to the Grinch and backed down.
December 09, 2011 19:53:18 what?   Tomorrow is Christmas Eve in Obamaville, and Obama says he "never needs an excuse for a good party." Hanukkah is not for two weeks, and he lit every candle in the menorah! You're supposed to do it over an eight-day period. He did it all at once just to be done with it. He doesn't have time to wait (going to Hawaii on another vacation,). As he says: "This is to show my devotion to Israel." With unemployment at 8.6 percent, and with many having already quit looking for a job, I doubt many Americans would be heartened to hear the president saying he "never needs an excuse for a good party." Maybe the president will play some golf while in Hawaii, he has played “1,584 holes since 2009.
December 09, 2011 17:55:29 bertimouse   Hi Grumpy, Yup youre right we forgot about that. You know, on the news they said that the Veterans organization committee was disbanding this year due to (sadly)its dwindling members. Grumpy, we apologize because everyone should know this - the news didn't mention it - but,How many WW2 Vets are now left? We thought you would know. :) Thanks and Merry Christmas.
December 09, 2011 17:48:32 bertimouse   Hi what. SC has been organizing themselves allot more effectively in the last oh, 5 or 6 years now than ever before and standing up for themselves more which is good to see isnt it? Apparently they are struggling now to hold onto that School for their community center which they sorely needed. My other half works more closely with them than I do at the moment and spends many volunteer hours there. The History of SC is quite interesting and "more visually apparent" than the TOM. For example the Maywood Railroad Depot Organization at mhgonline.org. You are right tho - 1)the TOM is probably too busy to care about any other local towns. We think its a sad thing because both towns fought Hard to keep their schools - it was the SCSD that pitted one town against the other by saying in those days of BOE mtgs. that they were only going to keep ONE school open...remember all of those BOE mtgs. where the PTA Folks from both districts got up and poured their hearts out about how special Both of these Elementary schools were? At least the TOM had the cahoonies to try and sue the district, LORD what a darn Shame and Waste! 2)We absolutely agree with your comments about the SCSD. Not one more penny for Capital Improvements until(we think)maybe 10 years after the last Bond is paid off?and only then if its for Education.
December 09, 2011 17:21:35 bertimouse Oh Dear Concerned: its OK to be so dead-wrong about our involvement with the SCSD and TOM. Actually Thanks for your comment because we both had a nice chuckle over it. :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! :)
December 09, 2011 10:37:32 Twas the month before Christmas   Twas the month before Christmas When all through our land, Not a Christian was praying Nor taking a stand. See the PC Police had taken away The reason for Christmas - no one could say. The children were told by their schools not to sing About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things. It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say December 25th is just a ' Holiday '. Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it! CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod Something was changing, something quite odd! Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda. As Targets were hanging their trees upside down At Lowe's the word Christmas - was nowhere to be found. At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears. Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty Are words that were used to intimidate me. Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton ! At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter. And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded The reason for the season, stopped before it started. So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree' Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me. Choose your words carefully, choose what you say Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday !
December 09, 2011 08:28:06 Grumpy Ernst Keidel CDR.Keidel@gmail.com Bertimouse: "We Celebrated Pearl Harbor Day 12/7, noticed No Mention Here..." Not so, Berti! If you'll check my post about my half-staff flag on 12/7, you'll see I did indeed metion Pearl Harbor. --Grumpy, US Army, Retired
December 09, 2011 06:16:13 what?   Over $40 MILLION has been spent on this school for 'improvements' since the football field was built. How many more millions must we spend of hard working taxpayer money before the field is deemed 'safe'? Since when was the field named unsafe, how many years has it been? Only since some taxpayer money has been made available?
December 09, 2011 06:08:25 what?   bertimouse; What? has the town of Sidney Center done this year that is so special? If it is the purchase of their school for $50,000 instead of a half million ,I\'m happy for them. But what? change are they going through that TOM should?
December 09, 2011 05:37:22 concerned   bertimouse I dont think you ever have been to any school board or town meetings you just want to hide behind your computer and create hate. You dont have it to stand up and speak to a board. Neighbor, yeah right.
December 08, 2011 23:29:50 bertimouse   what on Dec. 2 we asked B.S. what her point was. Thats not a gripe in our book Neighbor.
December 08, 2011 23:25:50 bertimouse   What, your comments about the previous SCSD Renovations are incorrect in several ways. 1)It was originally a 40 million dollar voter approved project. 2)The Pool was an additional Voter Referendum that passed by only about 167 Votes out of maybe 500 people that turned out to Vote on it. At the time there were about 800 families that had children attending District schools. 3)The First Phase of the Project was to renovate the Athletic Fields which cost about 3 million and ALLOT of expensive change orders to the original contract: Field Lighting $80K per pole and another $80K plus to re-design the bleacher seating capacity down from the original 4000 to about 1500 now. 4)The Swimming Pool addition originally cost the District an additional $100K in additional Insurance Costs Alone. The additional costs for a Life Guard required by State Law would have cost an additional $50K though the District made a Deal with the Afton SCD to share theirs Part Time for ?$. This is Why The Pool has always limited Hours available for the Public. Other additional costs were for Pool chemicals & new Maintenance Personnel for cleaning. One can only imagine how much it costs now 7 years later. 5)Since its completion there have always been rumors that The Pool Is Not The Right Size, OMG! :) It is the Exact Size As every other HS competition swimming pool. It was never meant to be Olympic sized, LOL. 6)The Two outer Sidney Elementary Schools were closed within 2 years after Completion of the Bldg. Project because the SCSD BOE Always Knew how costly they were to run. Sidney Ctr. was more expensive than Masonville because it is up on a hill in the wind during the Winter. At the beginning of this bldg. program the Construction Mgrs. suggested to the District that they consolidate onto One Campus & were told by the BOE that the residents of Masonville & Sidney Center would NEVER consent to their local small schools closing which was Very True at the time. 7)It is Time for Sidney Voters to Start Paying More Attention To Wasted Taxpayer Dollars by Speaking Up at the BOE Mtgs. and[most importantly]VOTING MORE OFTEN.
December 08, 2011 23:16:49 what?   Natural gas 'fracking' is a violation of individual rights. This will affect all of us, in a negative way. Pumping chemicals into our neighbors ground is wrong,it has been proven to contaminate water and air quality in the states that allow it. Already in NY state home sales are negatively affected by natural gas leases. Mortgage companies won't finance, and people do not want to buy homes with or near properties with gas leases. "Drill A Well To Bring A Soldier Home" signs SHOULD be taken down, what a disrespect to our soldiers in uniform. We can be against polluting our great earth without bringing our men in uniform into it, that is disrespectful.
December 08, 2011 22:58:35 what?   Hey bertimouse, for one I\'m not concerned. Two, you wrote I wasn\'t knowing or quoting any facts. Fact, on Dec. 02 you had a gripe against Betty Scott on what she wrote about the SCSD, so I am under the assumption you do not agree with what she wrote.
December 08, 2011 22:23:56 bertimouse   ONE Post and Several Comments regarding "Friends of Natural Gas" and "Drill A Well To Bring A Soldier Home" signs so here goes. Our Post is that The Reality Is That The Majority Of NY Folks[based on statistics from last weeks DEC Town Meetings held Statewide]are Against Gas Drilling. Our Several Comments are 1)the one slogan posted on lawns should really say "Friends Of Poisoned Water"...not only for Them, Their Families & Farms but also for All of Their Neighbors. The other one about how drilling for gas will bring a Soldier Home offends too many people in too many ways. 2)When They Drill down into the ground and Fracture through rock for Gas they Shoot Over 300 Highly Concentrated Proven Carcinogenic Chemicals into the Ground which has been documented Over & Over Again to Seep into Ground Drinking Water. DUH. 3)Where Do They Expect It ALL TO GO? What, That All Those Chemicals will all just Magically DISAPPEAR? 4)Are We All As American Citizens, Consumers, Farmers, Parents, Taxpayers, Seniors and Dependents of our Well-Water Supplies for our Drinking Water THAT UN FORE SIGHTED? 5)Can they PRAY OR PAY For All The Chemicals They Pump Into Our Lands To Just Go Away? 6)Where? 7)Check out the EPA Report that just came out Today. [EPA is an acronym for The Federal Governmental Agency which stands for and is supposedly in charge of what? Environmental Protection]About a Town in Wyoming. First Time Ever the Fed's have Officially Stated That YUP, YER WATER TASTES LIKE PROPANE 'CAUSE OF THE GAS COMPANY, AND BY THE WAY YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING IT, SORRY FOLKS. Again Duh. Now how many years ya think Folks over there knew that in the first place without the Feds telling em that eh? 8)Teddy Roosevelt must be Rolling Over In His Grave Right Now About This! 9)We Here in TOM Are Proud To Stand Up For Non Gas Drilling i.e. Fracking. We Prefer Clean Drinking Water, Pure Soil for Gardening & Farming. 9)We'd Rather Be Poor For The Rest Of Our Lives If It Means That Our Children will have Clean Drinking Water For Free All of Their Lives Too. 10)We Celebrated Pearl Harbor Day 12/7, noticed No Mention Here Or In Town To Commemorate it, Thanks Allot. 11)We Cherish Our Free Right To Exercise Free Speech. 12)As American Citizens. 13)And Registered Voters Who Do.

December 08, 2011 16:24:28 Kathy Ryan   Hey Grumpy - Thanks for the kind words. I, too, had a rough time heading home on Steam Mill after the meeting. I got stuck just past your house after pulling over for an opposing vehicle. My sincere thanks to Chuck Smith and Mike Spaccaforno for responding to my SOS and Special THANKS to Steve Gray and Ron Noland for getting me back on the road. Thanks so much for the help!!!

December 08, 2011 07:20:24 Grumpy Ernst Keidel CDR.Keidel@gmail.com I guess I was still a little flustered after fighting my way back up Steam Mill Road's snow covered hill last night. Of course, Jeri Brayman is the new council member. Had a nice long conversation with Laura Burpoe, so her name intruded on my conciousness as I was writing last night.
