April 04, 2013 09:08:31 resident   how did the town board meeting go ? did we get anything accomplished?
April 04, 2013 07:28:17 half-wit   Yeah, I saw the county mowing the sides of the roads a couple weeks ago! I wonder how many taxpayer dollars went out the tail pipe of that tractor and truck, cutting a little dead grass all day?
April 04, 2013 06:39:39 WHO!   half- wit I saw a lot of idiots yesterday repairing pothole, sweeping roads, removinng debri from the roads. This was at the county and state levels. now its going to be in the 50 to 60 degree range starting today will proberly see more idiots repairing potholes. I will let them know that they are idiots and should follow the lead of masonville and not do any road work until summer!
April 03, 2013 10:43:37 concerned   Half-wit if you remember they do not want to do that anymore either. Refer to the meeting minutes and Mr. Iska asking them to mow the around the tomb stones! It's becoming a reacurring theme of not to do something.
April 03, 2013 10:17:01 half-wit   Maybe we can get them doing something, maybe we can get them to mow the lawns this weekend?
April 03, 2013 09:26:15 concerned   Halfwit so I guess that the answer is no. Nothing is going on? like the name.
April 03, 2013 07:45:21 half-wit   Isn't half of the roads in Masonville owned by the State and County? Could it be that the ANGER coming from some of these posters is directed to the wrong people. Anyone see the State working on 206? It is getting rough! Nobody works on roads in the winter, and anyone who thinks they should is a idiot!
April 03, 2013 05:36:54 concerned   Has anyone seen the highway crew fixing anything, roads, ditches, potholes anything at all my car is taking a beating and I never see any improvements any where.
April 03, 2013 05:36:13 concerned   Has anyone seen the highway crew fixing anything, roads, ditches, potholes anything at all my car is taking a beating and I never see any improvements any where.
April 01, 2013 22:27:47 bertimouse   observer:Gods Holy Word is not just a list of suggestions or ideas to live by???The Living Word of God is for Now,not 2000+yrs ago.We have our Christian Faith. There r billions on this planet with their own. Best thing to do is to love & emulate what Jesus taught. Peace.Love.Forgiveness.Hope you had a Wonderful Easter. Nuff said Neighbor.
April 01, 2013 16:45:55 Observer   Les - A very nice picture your daughter was able to capture of a beautiful male Eagle. They certainly are a majestic bird. But, they are somewhat a paradox as well. They being our National Bird but at the same time being basically a carrion eater. Maybe we should send a flock of them to Congress? They would be well fed there.
April 01, 2013 14:00:20 Yes   maybe the warmer weather will bring some new faces to the board meeting Wed at 7:30 please come with some helpful comments and questions.
April 01, 2013 13:34:05 resident   Me we do not need to worry about what people think they already know what goes on. But we do need the cleanup days it is vital to the bettor of the community as a whole. If you read the work that is going to be done and when there should be a time that will not impeede the progress of the road work.It just needs to be coordinated between the board and directed to the Highway Supertendent to do the work of the taxpayers.
April 01, 2013 12:47:53 Observer   I agree the town needs to go back to clean up days but it is expensive and people do abuse it thus it ends up costing the taxpayers more money. My suggestion would be that a small fee be charged to haul to the collection site at the Town Garage area and that income be used to hire someone to watch over it when the town crew is not available. I just hired someone to haul some items for me and the only one I could find willing to do it lives in Endicott; he is reasonable but there is still the expense as he has to haul all the way to the Delaware Landfill. No place local as a receiving area for the Landfill. A local receiving point would encourage people to clean up and a lot less of it would be dumped along the roads and highways.
April 01, 2013 12:31:50 Observer   No - Bertimouse your attempted quote of the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 7 is just the opposite of what the Lord said. That is why I said it is possible to lead another astray through misquoting Scripture; be it intentional or not. God's Holy Word is not just a list of suggestions or ideas to live by, but the living Word of God. It should not be used irreverently, misquoted or used flippantly.
April 01, 2013 12:21:15 me   Good idea ! Then all will complaint the crew is not working on the roads and they become the bad guys again!
April 01, 2013 04:25:29 thinking out loud   Yes this town needs clean up days just drive around. The highway supertendent does not want to do it, it cost to much money and it is to much work for them. The crew only works 4 days a week and it would cost overtime for them to come in to work on FRi. And Sat. So Lets have it on a Mon. and Tues. then we would keep down the cost of labor and Masonville will be a bettor community for it?
March 31, 2013 22:47:34 Les   Check out my oldest daughter's bald eagle pic on, click on YouNews, Bald Eagle East Masonville Ny, it was eating a dead opossum right next to our house!
March 31, 2013 21:11:21 bertimouse   To observer:so your point is that you can quote the Bible better than I,Great!Wasnt my post and meaning the same as yours? You mentioned that I might lead someone astray.Really? What part of my previous post-Christians Everywhere need to be Thankful and Forgiving,Everywhere, like Jesus did.-offended you? I only meant&spoke for the Good Of All Here and you of all folks should know that by now Neighbor. Peace.
March 31, 2013 21:08:13 bertimouse   Happy Easter Everyone!Yes a TOM Town Cleanup should be held again every spring. To thinking & really thinking:Tough to decide because you both have good points:on the one hand we like who is there but one the other hand,if someone else better would step up to the plate, whos got a better plan then so be it.Let the campaign begin as they say. This is America.Free and Brave,All of us still,no matter what, eh? :)
March 31, 2013 20:14:50 old timer   there better be. the town needs one on a regular basis
March 31, 2013 18:57:32 masonville resident   has not been decided if there will be clean up days or not
March 31, 2013 18:41:45 long time resident   does anyone know when the cleanup days are going to be in masonvile.
March 31, 2013 08:53:58 resident   Happy Easter to everyone in Masonville
March 30, 2013 18:28:47 TX-1   Hi!! when is the ice cream on rt8 opening?
March 30, 2013 16:30:27 Really thinking   Thinking we need to have every position contested this year . It would make for a health community if we had more people running to make sure we have checks and balances in our community no matter how rural it is. Everyone needs to encourag their neighbors friends to run for office.this should be exciting election as the chatter around town is there will be people running for office hopefully at all positions. And nothing runs as smooth as you say and change will be good for our town. I will vote for whom ever will make the tough decision and will not go over the 2 percent cap and will make the cuts to not raise our taxes and change will be needed at this election to ensure this.
March 30, 2013 14:27:08 thinking   things seem to running very well with the board members and hwy. super, clerk and supervisor that we have now. Sometimes change is not a good thing, when you get a group of people that work well together it is best to leave it at that.
March 29, 2013 20:55:56 OLD FA rt   Hey how bad (frozen)is Shears rd.
March 29, 2013 04:39:55 WHO!   The highway supertendent. if anyone knows someone who needs a job great benifits good pay holidays. must be able to work for taxpayers. I think the job pays in the upper 40,000. close to 50,000 Does anyone know what it pays.we need at least 3 people to run. also 2 board seats
March 28, 2013 19:29:09 resident   who is up for reelection this year?
March 28, 2013 08:05:25 resident   Observer I know of a young man in town who is tryiong to hustle money to help find a cure for cystic fybrosis, he and his brother are carries of this , He is organizing a volly ball tornament as well as a walk for the cure in May at Keith Clark park. Give him a call his familys number is in the phone book. His name is Nick Burpoe. A very nice young man.
March 27, 2013 17:27:42 Observer   I am looking for someone who will haul some stuff to the landfill. No construction scrap. Some metal and a couple of car batteries. I am willing to pay a reasonable fee.
March 25, 2013 17:21:16 Observer   Bertimouse, Bertimouse - Please stop attempting to quote God's Holy Word. You screw it up so badly you will lead someone astray. You state: "And Jesus said, let the first stone be cast on this woman;yet let the first stone be cast from one of you who is not without sin." Jesus actually said: "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.(John 8:7 KJV) NOTE Jesus said anyone who had NO sin cast a stone at her NOT as you quoted. You state the first to cast a stone must have sin. Of course they all did as everyone does; but, Jesus is mocking and saying if they are free from sin throw a stone. One of the major problems of the churches today is the failure to read and understand God's Word. Feel Good and Social sermons and no dedication to the Gospel.
March 25, 2013 13:06:13 taxpayer   what about roads damaged thru the winter
March 25, 2013 12:49:28 Old Fa rt   HEY!! dont forget Shears rd.
March 25, 2013 08:20:44 resident.   reader facts are our roads suck and the Highway DSupertendent states that he does not have the money to repair them ,And at the same time we increased his budget and gave him a 3% incrase. And he still does not have the money to fix our roads. This is per the Highway Supertendent. That is the facts.
March 24, 2013 23:52:59 bertimouse   Who are we,without sin? No one should throw their stones because NO ONE of us is without sin. Most of us try to do our best here in Masonville. Most of us are not online on this Message Board;TG. Heres the thing: The Light of God Surrounds us All Here. His Love Enfolds us. His Power Protects us. His Presence watches over us Always. Wherever We are,he is always with us:dude:Always! :)
March 24, 2013 23:27:56 bertimouse   And Jesus said, let the first stone be cast on this woman;yet let the first stone be cast from one of you who is not without sin.
March 24, 2013 23:15:45 bertimouse   It Means that Christians Everywhere need to be Thankful and Forgiving,Everywhere, like Jesus did.
March 24, 2013 23:08:21 bertimouse   Blessed Palm Sunday. The week before my Mom passed. This is the Holy Christian Week.
March 24, 2013 23:03:36 bertimouse   Heres the thing Guys, when you bicker back and forth thats one thing, but when you start to bicker about town officials and your individual town well thats another thing. If you dont Love or want to Live in the TOM then get out, because everyone else of us Loves the TOM now dont we? YES.
March 24, 2013 22:48:55 bertimouse   Its because of your posts,Guys, get it? ENOUGH.We dont want you to Diss the TOM anymore.Get it?We dont want ANY OF YOU,ANYMORE to DISS our Town anymore!SO stop it,NOW!
March 24, 2013 22:36:50 bertimouse   Dear Sharon Gifford: Thank You for posting your thoughts here. BRAVO and Thank You. More Women need to Speak Up Here. This Message Board should not be dominated by men who speak from their holes drilled out by donkeys in the first place. Your comment said it all about not wasting your Energy here. Thanks for that because I feel the same way as You and Others now do.
March 24, 2013 22:06:21 bertimouse   ENOUGH Dissing about the Hwy Dept. for Gods sake. They do their job you do yours besides witch with a Big old B here everytime you get, seems. This is a Bulletin Board not a witching board with a Big old B;so STOP it all will ya?-Apparently Not and Too Bad For That. The TOM folks Do Not Represent You All Here. Most of us would just like to talk about the Good Things Happening in TOM like:The Jump Family Fundraiser next weekend:be there or be totally Square.
March 24, 2013 21:51:14 bertimouse   Has anyone seen or heard any Robins yet?
March 24, 2013 19:53:38 reader   maybe everyone needs to attend the next board meeting, no one seems to have the facts.
March 24, 2013 17:33:25 Old Fa rt   Is it Spring yet?
March 24, 2013 14:45:54 Observer   Why don't we run the Highway Department by committee made up from the people who are unhappy with the Highway leadership we have now? That way NOTHING would ever get done thus no mistakes.
March 24, 2013 14:29:56 cabin fever   Someone have the Hwy. Supt. read this board............maybe he will quit and bertimoose can take over!
March 24, 2013 14:29:34 cabin fever   Someone have the Hwy. Supt. read this board............maybe he will quit and bertimoose can take over!
March 24, 2013 13:23:10 oldtimer   as a former union member i bet the local contract forbids the hwy supt from working he is considered to be a manager not a laborer. a keeper of the books no matter what you want of him.a hwy supt will always not be legally required to work
March 24, 2013 13:05:14 cabin fever   Forgot to mention.........go to Auctions to look at the masonville listing. We took to a conclusion that the highway dept was involved with the fire truck.WRONG!!!! Again facts we not checked before shooting the hwy. supt. into the dirt again. Look at the minutes,so many are concerned he must answer questions for hours at a meeting.
March 24, 2013 12:58:03 cabin fever   A recent post said get the facts correct, best statement ever!!! Again check with the town clerk but this hwy. supt. must be turning in a lot of the road work money back to the board for lack of road work......right????? I did find out truck repair money can NOT be used for road work so if repairs are done in house that also means a turn in of more money. If this guy can\'t spend the money given then lower taxes!!!! What is the town board doing with all the left over money??? Got to admit that army truck did save money but new is always nice. Lets chase this guy out of town with pitch forks and torhes.
March 24, 2013 06:41:39 drained by it all   If youn read deeper into the Supertendents responsiblitues you will see that we are not getting the service that is due with this supertendent. Everyone due your research before the next election you will see that we need a stroner more pro active and more concernerd with our roads than running apaint booth and repair shop. Mr. Gifford was a excellent Highway Supertendent he kept the road crew working on roads and let mechanic work on equipment Just look at the finished product, Sorry this supertendent has not finished or maintained any road beside working on army and fire trucks.
March 23, 2013 19:23:59 old timer   for those interested the highway supt powers and duties are covered by sec 140 of the highway law .you can just look up laws of new york and get the facts. be smart get the correct info then speak up.
March 23, 2013 16:54:40 Observer   As I recall our Superintendent, as good as he is, was not changed from Elective to Appointive by referendum. But, rather he was just appointed to the position by vote of the Town Board. Personally I would like to see our Town Board take care of the matter so it does not come up in the future. Too lose a good working Superintendent due to an oversight would be too bad.
March 23, 2013 16:50:12 Observer   Town Highway Superintendents State statute requires that all towns have a superintendent of highways, either elected or appointed. Whether elected or appointed, the superintendent is an independent town officer with powers independent of the town board to employ and direct employees to carry out his statutory responsibilities. The superintendent has a fixed term of office whether elected or appointed, which is two years, but can be set at four years locally. The town can change the office of highway superintendent from an appointive office to elective by resolution subject to permissive referendum, but to change from elective to appointive would require a local law subject to mandatory referendum. Prior to 1974, the office could be made appointive by resolution subject to permissive referendum, but that provision of Town Law was repealed. Currently, out of 932 town highway superintendents, only 59 are appointive rather than elected. Responsibilities of the town highway superintendents, whether elective or appointive, include preparing of an annual budget (subject to the modification and approval of the town board), the general maintenance of the town highways, bridges, sidewalks, culverts, and ditches. They can also bring actions in court relating to town highways. Additionally, towns with a contract with another municipality to provide highway maintenance and repair that is in effect for five years may adopt a local law subject to permissive referendum to abolish the office of town highway superintendent. NOTE ACCORDING TO NYS LAW THE SUPERINTENDENT IS INDEPENDENT FROM THE TOWN BOARD. Thus I understand the Town Board cannot require any set hours. Of the 932 Road Supers in the state only 59 are appointed like ours is. (From the New York State Association of Road Superintendents.)
March 22, 2013 23:27:57 what?   I should stay out of this but; if Duane served 10 years as the ELECTED head of the highway department,an employee before that, the people of the TOM knew him pretty good, and elected him to do the job he did. Like I said before, some of you might have the cabin fever, get out , get some sun, even though it is winter, the sun shines most days. I didn't personally know Duane, but I grew up with his wife, K-12, K-5 in the school formally known as Masonville school, and I can't imagine how they would feel if they popped on this website and read the posts in the last couple days, (or his mother!), shame on you! I would like to complain about how Obama is ruining this country (he is), but i'm too piissed off to.
March 22, 2013 21:25:24 Yet Another Resident   Mr. Gifford was not hired; he was elected by the people who believed that he would work 40 hours.
March 22, 2013 16:30:57 first time board reader   As Mrs. Gifford said , maybe one should have all of the facts before finding fault. Not all of our highway superintendents were hired as 40 hour a week workers. Some were hired to plan work, attend meetings and do other work as needed, but not required to be at work 40 hours each week. Please be sure of your facts before insulting people. Duane Gifford was not hired to be at work the 40 hours.
March 21, 2013 18:38:53 Sharon Gifford To another long time resident: Maybe it is you who should get their "facts " straight. While I could relate many of those facts to you, I have decided not to waste my energy on such an insensitive ,ignorant coward such as yourself. Please know that your opinion of my son will not change the pride I felt in knowing he was a Great Superintendent Of Highways. Proudly.....Sharon Gifford
March 20, 2013 23:08:28 what?   It's possible the code enforcement officer feels the same as I do? His place looks nice, my place looks nice, if someone's doesn't, their choice, it's their property they pay taxes on. Laws forcing people to comply with certain peoples ideas will lead us to mandatory snow plowing, lawn mowing, watering and fertilizing, heck they might require us to all have garden gnomes or be fined! Live your life happy, don't worry about the neighbors, if you want perfection move to a suburb somewhere.
March 20, 2013 20:11:47 masonville resident   It does not hurt to call with a list it is worth a try.
March 20, 2013 18:46:22 another long time resident   Why should he need to be called with a list. Just look around, there are places in town as well as on routes 8 and 206. You can't miss them, he has had to have driven past them several times as well as the town board members.
March 20, 2013 18:26:17 Masonville land owner   Was waiting for someone to get their facts straight about Carl, it takes some of us life long residents to remember these things. If you have a list of places that need to be neater just call Joe Reynolds, code enforcer, a Walton phone number. And yes, he will go out and give warnings.
March 20, 2013 17:07:25 another long time resident   Please get facts straight before commenting. Carl Gifford was Town Supervisor not Hwy Supervisor. Duane Gifford was the Hwy Supervisor to start only working two hours a day and working else where while getting the same pay as previous Hwy supervisors. All mechanical work was done in the shop before Duane. Glad to see that they are doing work in shop again. If you really want something to complain about, how about the run down and falling down properties and buildings. Also places with junk and garbage all over the place. These properties make the people who have pride in our town look bad as it reflects on all of us. Where's the code officer in all of this. Can't he issue warning or tickets to help clean up our town so it looks nice? There are people who will haul junk away for free or a small price. We need the clean up days like the town had up until last year.
March 20, 2013 11:32:57 what?   Just read the March minutes, it is always good to hear about how the town is saving money. As it was when they built the new town hall, that I personally was against, but it was good to hear of all the savings that was involved,ie;our newest Supervisor Spaccaforno donation of skills, time, materials, our road crew's help (even though it apparently wasn't their job, but I think Dumond said they could if it was their choice)and everyone else's help . I know some people are against 'thanks', but I give a big thanks for our Masonville town board standing up for our Constitutional rights in their opposition to Cuomo's anti-gun owner Act, towns all around us are also publicly opposed,THANK you.
March 20, 2013 11:28:24 what?   Reading the March minutes on what Mrs. Ryan had to say about Steam Mill, I agree, when they did Cummings road we got to deal with mud for months, I would have rather negotiated the potholes, after they finished all was good though.I don't know what the gray stuff is on Steam Mill, it through my vehicle out of control and I wasn't even going fast, a road warning sign would have helped. The town needs to think about what time of the year they are starting projects, and if there is enough time to finish them before bad weather.
March 20, 2013 08:33:05 Me   Happy first day of spring to all!! Yes there is hope of the nice weather to show it's face.
March 19, 2013 19:59:00 Sick of What!   Lloyd darling, like many of the previous supers, was a joke! The men didnt listen to him and rather did whatever they wanted. The previous supers worked maybe 2 hours per day and collected a full paycheck. I have lived in this town my whole life too and am proud to see a super who works full time right along with the men, proud of our updated equiipment and happy with our roads for the most part.
March 19, 2013 19:58:06 wondering   Eldred, LLoyd and Carl did require a lot of physical labor, but times have changed and more work gets done in a 10 hour day with the help of modern equipment. So let it rest.
March 19, 2013 16:42:30 WHAT!   And another thing just thinking these boys could not work for Carl Gifford Eldred Gray or Loyd Darling. They required the manpower to give a days work for a days pay and the men were proud to have the job and thankful to the community for the jobs. My times have changed.
March 19, 2013 16:37:24 Just wondering   What-------Yes PRIDE!!!!!!!!!
March 19, 2013 14:12:32 What!   wasan't complaining everyone praises them just wondering if they got any compasation for their work? Living in this town over 45 years never seen anything like it.
March 19, 2013 13:36:18 Just wondering   What, you just do not get it do you? They work , they get paid , they do a good job, and you still complain, can you not just let it go?
March 19, 2013 08:47:12 Maria   C- Thanks for the information. I'll talk to Tom about the mulch as soon as the weather clears. Folks - Think Spring, it's only a day away.
March 19, 2013 08:00:21 What!   Thinking it's reasurring to know that they are keeping the public safe as we need to work to pay our taxes. Thinking is the highway crew working for free, no pay ,no benifits?
March 18, 2013 20:57:47 thinking   Hope all are in and safe and sound while the highway crew are making our roads safe.
March 18, 2013 12:09:36 Observer   Let's see. We have a highway Superintendent who works a 40 hour week and more when needed, We have a highway Superintendent who is with the small crew we have all the time; working side by side with them. So let's get rid of him and elect a Superintendent who "might" spend 2-3 hours a day sitting behind a desk or driving around in a pickup. And let's make sure this elected Superintendent knows as little as possible about road maintenance. No, the road department is not a money maker but it sure has been a money saver over the past few years. Masonville is the laughing stock of the Tri-County area? Obviously you have not traveled to many of the areas outside of Masonville. My daughter, in her job with Delaware County, must travel to ALL the schools in the County and many, many homes in the back roads of Delaware county. She does this on a daily basis 5 days a week. I have asked her about the problems she has faced and she tells me that really if one knows how to drive and is careful the roads in Delaware County and Masonville are not that bad. They are what one would expect of rural roads in the winter. So let's be concerned about what is really costing the taxpayers. UNFUNDED mandates from the State and Federal governments.
March 18, 2013 11:51:51 what?   If you voted for Obama, you advocate higher taxes for all, higher health care costs, less jobs, higher costs for food, gas, etc., more National debt., for what little money we do have, worth less, etc.,,,this is what we are getting.
March 18, 2013 09:30:45 WOW!   town resident yes I have to put a new front end in my car. Than I will advocate for higher taxes.
March 18, 2013 08:49:27 town resident   WOW,don't you have anything else to do?????
March 18, 2013 05:28:52 WOW!   JK nice input did you bring your city ways to our highway supertendent. We give Him payraises excenlent benifits raise his yearly budget and we get less for it. Th e past supertendents were more concerned about the taxpayers and thier neighbors. They would never let the roads get to the state that they are in. Masonvile we are the laughing stock of the tri county area. Thanks JK for bringing your lazy ways to our community. Lets vote for more taxes and less work I'm in.
March 15, 2013 23:49:28 what?   Half the last dozen posts, I think you all have the cabin fever! Get out! Get some sun on your skin! Even though it is winter the sun still shines most days! I sleep good at night knowing our elected officials in our small town, the volunteers, town board, road crew, fire dep. do the best job they can, I don't think any of them are trying to put the screws to us like Obama and Cuomo ARE. Start asking THEM some questions, like why has the national debt went up more in Obama's reign than all the Presidents combined even after revenue(taxes) are at historical highs?(the govt. took in more tax money this year than any other year in history, and still spending a $trillion more than they took in (Obama said "We don't have a spending problem!")(even with 8.5 million less jobs in the last four years)? Ask Cuomo why is the unemployment rate in NY way above the national average (it isn't good either) and higher unemployment today in NY than this time last year when Obama is saying we have had 36 months of consecutive private sector job growth? (obviously they are all lying, monthly job losses have consecutively outpaced job creation, just because they are no longer eligible for unemployment doesn't mean the are employed, but they don't want to report or have you know that). I think our little town is doing better than the National average on spending our hard working taxpayer money.
March 15, 2013 21:03:57 Concerned Citizen   Does anyone here know the reason as to why there is a SIDNEY CENTER FIRE TRUCK sitting in the Masonville Fire Station? WE should all look to the board of commissioners for the answer to this. I find it amazing that they are going to use another departments piece of equipment to serve our good town of Masonville. What if it breaks down enroute to your house buring and because of that you no longer have a home to live in and then your taxes go up because you have to pay for a new fire truck for another department. The town has some serious explaining to do as to why they won\'t pay for the department to get a new fire truck to keep our good Town of Masonville safe. What are your thoughts? If you don\'t believe me check it out for yourself.
March 15, 2013 19:06:23 Jk   For those who bash the town guys and elected official you are probably sitting home collecting a check from government and not out going to work. They are doing a great job within there capability . I live down state and get less service from my town and pay 10x the taxes you cry babies do . Stop talking about it or do something yourself like go to a meeting or maybe help out .stop hiding behind a screen name so when we see you at the quick way we know who you are . Regards go out to the jump family.
March 14, 2013 19:35:17 looking ahead   Nice to hear something positive about our town employees instead of all of the trash that has been happening. When spring arrives things will start to happen and then maybe all will be happy. Hope to see some new faces at the town meetings when the weather warms.
March 14, 2013 17:03:35 Pleased taxpayer   Check with the town clerk but no mater how much is spent on the old fire truck it is a different account than road repair money. That means thousands spent on trucks will not get us less road work. Anyway we all have forgot about the tens of thousands the highway supt. and crew saved ALL OF US on the last plow truck salvaged from the army to put in our fleet, remember the camo truck.....looks quite different now, hope to see in the parade!!!! But all of you could be right on a change of command cause we really should be purchasing NEW trucks like other towns can and paving miles of roads no mater what the taxes are. Glad to see this board can be used for postings like to help the Jumps and not only to trash ourselves on the choice of officials WE voted to office.
March 14, 2013 13:42:57 Who!   Agreed good honest road crew.
March 14, 2013 13:09:30 sounds good   Certainly will vote and hope things do not change we have an excellent road crew and superintendent.
March 14, 2013 11:11:38 Who!   sounds good been there done that didn\'t work. Hopefully we can change the direction in the election. Get out and vote .
March 14, 2013 09:40:13 C   For Maria,. Mulch ,.. Try TOM, I think he can help you.. Tom is the guy with all those pick up trucks and bull dozser on rt 8. south bound.. just pass the broken down barn lady with all the chickens,
March 13, 2013 15:24:05 sounds good   Who, maybe you should take over the job of road building you have all of the answers, just like the town , you may not have all of the money needed. It really does not pay to sit behind a computer screen and complain, come to some meetings and voice your opinion.

March 12, 2013 08:47:06 Maria   Hi everyone! I'm thinking spring and would like to buy 5 or more yards of natural cedar mulch for around my flower beds. I don't want any dyed mulch and it must be cedar to keep the bugs away. I tried Don Snow but he only carries dyed and non-cedar mulch. Any suggestions are appreciated :)
March 12, 2013 07:50:01 Who!   Ooh come on now us now its the weather, next it will be we don't have the money to repair our roads. another excuse it's always why they can't do the work or there is no money to do the work but it's never we will do the work and do it right.
March 11, 2013 15:21:22 Us   Who--- Or maybe the weather did not stay good long enough for the product to harden, It was not asphalt.
